DIVISION 87 – Pigeons
Open to all youth enrolled in an organization
that carries a Pigeon Project. Only one entry can
be made under any entry number. All pigeons
must wear some type of numbered leg band.
Doves are soft-billed cage birds. Enter in
Department 10 – Animal and Veterinary
Science, Division 124 – All Soft Bills.
Age Classification
Young Pigeons-Hatched after
January 1 st of the current Fair year.
Old Pigeons-Hatched before January 1 st of
the current Fair year.
Utility Breed
Giant Homer, Exhibition King, Utility King,
Carnheau, All Modaines and any large variety
considered a utility breed.
Sporting Breed
Flying birds such as Racing Homers, all
variety of Rollers and Flying Tipplers
Fancy Variety
Fantails, Tumblers, Nuns, Helmets, Oriental
Frills, Modenas, Trumpeters, Pouters, and any
other variety considered fancy.

All posters must be 11” x 14.” Judging will be
face-to-face the Thursday prior to opening day
of the Fair.

DEPT. 8 – RABBITS
Junior
Rules:
Open only to members enrolled in a Rabbit
Project or to members of other youth groups.
All stalls fees for rabbits will be $.75 per head
and must be paid when entry tags are picked up.
Only one entry can be made under any entry
number. No exhibitor can show more than 16
rabbits in divisions 92-113 (breed divisions).
Pet rabbit class is open to exhibitors that
cared for the rabbit strictly as a pet. Pet rabbits
can be brought to the fair and cared for in their
own cage.
Please follow the rules and regulations for
Poultry/Rabbit Barn, listed under the Poultry
Department Class.
A rabbit can be shown in only one class,
except showmanship and breeder’s class
(Division 118).
Exhibitor must bring all rabbits to the judging
table on judging day, or representative
appointed by exhibitor, as each class is called.
