The 2011 D-E Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon
Dwight-Englewood School presented its 2011 Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon on March 2 at
the Rockleigh Country Club, benefiting the Faculty & Staff Fund.

Fashion Show and Luncheon
welcomed approximately 300
guests and featured more than 50
beautiful runway looks from Saks
Fifth Avenue of The Shops at
Riverside. Apparel from designers
Armani Collezioni, Akris Punto,
Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and
many more were showcased,
ranging from must-have casual to
stunning formal fashions.

The event included a special
announcement and presentation of the
first-ever Dwight-Englewood School
Community Achievement Award. Alexis
Cooperman, a Dwight-Englewood School
parent, trustee, and dedicated volunteer,
was honored by Karen Aboodi, president
of the D-E Board of Trustees. Aboodi
noted, “Alexis embodies an unflagging
commitment to Dwight-Englewood, to
making our School the best it can be.”
Fashion Show guests had the opportunity
to win several enticing raffle prizes,
including Broadway tickets, gift baskets
from local retailers and specialty shops,
and tickets to professional sports events.
A highlight of the event took place in the
days following, when D-E parent Rima
Amirsaleh was the lucky winner of a pair
of diamond and pearl Nini Earrings, valued
at more than $11,000. Saks Fifth Avenue
generously contributed the earrings for
the raffle and gave the School 10% of all
proceeds from sales at their Riverside
store from March 2 through March 4.
During the event and in the days following,
Head of School Dr. Rodney De Jarnett
expressed his sincere thanks to all those
involved in the show’s tremendous
success. “This event would not have been
possible without the creativity, dedication,
and literally hundreds of hours of time
contributed by our exceptional Fashion
Show volunteers and D-E staff members,”
he said. “I wish to express my sincere,
personal gratitude to both Lenora Klein
and Robin Modell, our 2011 Fashion
Show and Luncheon Committee co-chairs,
for yet again planning and executing an
incredible, memorable event. Lenora and
Robin expertly managed a dedicated
committee of Fashion Show volunteers,
all of whom deserve our thanks.”
