Merrick Cohen is looking forward to
catching up to his classmates at the
upcoming 40th reunion the weekend of
June 3 and 4. He sent in the following
update: “I have a wonderful native
Bostonian wife and two active teenage
boys and an awesome Goldendoodle. My
mother still lives in Englewood and when
in the neighborhood, I always walk down
memory lane and revisit my days at the
old ESB. I fondly remember Adolph
Amend and his role in helping me move
forward. ESB had great teachers and I
hope D-E has the same.”
Melissa Mettler Abrams writes: “It was
with great sadness that I read about the
death of Janet Stork. I can still remember
her laugh. She was always smiling and
happy. Sorry too to hear about Mr. Kidder.
I’ve lost touch with Terry Kidder…do you
read the Alumni News, Terry? If so, give
me a call at 970-391-5942. I’d love to
hear from you.”
Gary Mass is living in Fort Lee and
working in the healthcare industry with
his brother, Bobby Mass ’79. It is nice
to have the business three miles from
home, so he can often cycle to work.
In his spare time, he loves road cycling,
having done over 5,400 miles this past
year including eight centuries and two
double centuries. His son, David Mass
’06, just graduated from the University
of Delaware with a degree in finance and
accounting. Gary just got a Lab puppy,
so now there is a new “baby” in the
house. Candy and he traveled recently to
Scandinavia this past summer and went
on a Caribbean Cruise over New Year’s.
Linda Dabagian Galgano sends this
news: “My youngest son, Matthew, will
graduate from Monmouth University in
May. My eldest son, Rich, is a financial
planner, living in New Milford. I regularly
see Randi Woodrow who I’m glad to say
is back on the East Coast, and Seta
Nazarian-Albrecht ’75. When Randi
comes into town, I get to see her sister,
Laurie ’78, who continues to run
marathons around the world. I continue
to work at the Paramus Barnes & Noble,
hosting famous and not-so-famous
author signings, along with running
fundraisers and discount purchasing for
schools and nonprofits. I am busy honing
up my Facebook skills as I am working
on our 35th Reunion (can that be
possible?). Please look for our Facebook
Group: Dwight Englewood School Class
of 1976 and get up-to-date information
on the weekend’s events. Please
encourage fellow classmates to get in
touch. My significant other, a middle
school principal, and I are the proud
parents of three (sometimes four) dogs,
all of which are rescues. We look forward
to a smaller house, larger property, and
more dogs one day!”
