• Integration Brokers and Interfaces. All interfaces and data conversions<br />
involving enterprise, affinity group or departmental applications should utilize<br />
one <strong>of</strong> the County’s recommended integration broker technology platforms:<br />
WebSphere MQ Integrator, Cloverleaf Integration <strong>Services</strong>, and SeeBeyond.<br />
• Web Servers / Application Development Platforms. All Web hosting for<br />
enterprise and multi-department applications should utilize Apache-based<br />
application servers (e.g., WebSphere, Oracle Application Server, JBOSS,<br />
Tomcat, etc.) and <strong>Department</strong> applications should utilize Micros<strong>of</strong>t Internet<br />
Information Servers.<br />
• Business Intelligence Reporting Tools. New applications development or<br />
acquisitions should utilize the County’s standard reporting tool Cognos suite<br />
<strong>of</strong> business intelligence s<strong>of</strong>tware. For formatted reporting embedded within<br />
applications, Crystal Reports and Oracle Report tools may be used.<br />
• Database Communication. All direct database communication shall utilize<br />
ODBC, JDBC, ADO/OLEDB, or ADO.NET.<br />
• Geographic Information Systems. Environmental Systems Research<br />
Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS tools for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and<br />
mapping applications may be used.<br />
• Storage. EMC, HP, and Network Appliance storage products may be used.<br />
• Enterprise Content Management. Enterprise content management<br />
technologies (i.e. document imaging, document capture, document<br />
management, document storage, and workflow) should utilize enterpriseclass<br />
solution suites that <strong>of</strong>fer multiple technology components (e.g., EMC,<br />
Global 360, FileNet P8, and Hyland OnBase).<br />
• Electronic Forms (eForms). Adobe product suite should be used for<br />
eForms solutions to internal and external users. Global 360, FileNet P8, and<br />
Hyland OnBase may also be used.<br />
