1.2 GATEWAY RACK
The Gateway includes the CONTRACTOR-supplied network access points located in two (2) COUNTY sites
approved by COUNTY Project Director, at which the LRS connects to LAnet/EN. COUNTY will provide one (1) HP
10842 G2 Rack (42U) Wide rack (or equivalent successor) for the portion of the CONTRACTOR-supplied Gateway
that is physically present at each of the two (2) sites. CONTRACTOR shall provide, install, maintain, and own the
portion of the CONTRACTOR-supplied Gateway that is physically present at each of the two (2) sites, enclosed
within the rack/cabinet described below.
COUNTY will provide the following at each of the two (2) COUNTY sites in support of the portion of the
CONTRACTOR-supplied Gateway that is physically present at each such site:
1. HP 10842 G2 Rack (42U) Wide (or equivalent successor)
• Base cabinet without options
2. Environmental Infrastructure
• Physical security
• HVAC
• Power (including redundant backup power)
3. Physical access to the Gateway
• 24/7 accessibility
• Security clearance and authorization for COUNTY-approved CONTRACTOR staff
CONTRACTOR shall provide all goods and services comprising the Gateway, including:
1. Cabinet options for the HP 10842 G2 Rack (42U) Wide (or equivalent successor)
2. All other goods and services for the Gateway
Note: Current COUNTY ISD policy precludes Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) at the two (2) COUNTY sites at
which the LRS connects to LAnet/EN.
