EXERCISE
YEOMAN TRACKER
As the temperature plummeted
to -10 C (Cheshire Yeomanry) Sqn
RMLY started the new year with
a low level skill exercise on Leek
Training area.
They practiced dismounted skills,
command and control, signals
and fitness with a cross country
navigation exercise. Plenty of warm
brews kept moral high.
On arrival at SHQ for the
night, the SQMS had rustled up a
traditional Burns Supper: haggis,
neeps and tatties with a tot of malt!
Basic troop mounted skills
such as hide routines, cam and
concealment were practised and
the road move from and to Chester
refreshed vehicle husbandry,
maintenance and recovery.
The Exercise was well attended
by both Sabre Troops, REME and G4
who all deployed on the ground to
hone their basic soldiering skills.
