Tri-Service <strong>Cadets</strong> formed the Guard of Honour.<br />

<strong>Volunteer</strong>s and<br />

cadets support<br />

SSAFA Freedom<br />

Due to their amazing dedication<br />

on Merseyside over the last 75<br />

years, SSAFA <strong>Forces</strong> Help have<br />

been honoured with the Freedom<br />

of the City of Liverpool.<br />

At a ceremony at the Town Hall,<br />

the occasion was supported by<br />

the Duke of Lancaster’s TA Band<br />

and also a Guard of Honour of<br />

Tri-Service <strong>Cadets</strong>. <strong>The</strong> historic<br />

scroll was signed by both the Lord<br />

Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor<br />

Hazel Williams and Col Martin<br />

Amlot, the Chairman of the<br />

Merseyside Branch. Amongst<br />

the special guests were Dame<br />

Lorna Muirhead, Lord Lieutenant<br />

of Merseyside, plus Col Sir Alan<br />

Waterworth, Col Graham ‘Paddy’<br />

Bryson, Association member,<br />

and Lt Col Dominic Morgan, the<br />

Merseyside Garrison Commander.<br />

Col Amlot welcomes Col Bryson, the oldest Association member who has<br />

celebrated his 98th birthday.<br />

<strong>The</strong> fanfare was played by volunteers<br />

from the LANCS TA Band.<br />
