12 Emergency response procedures<br />
12.1 The <strong>Helicopter</strong> Provider, Seismic Contractor and, where applicable, the Company,<br />
should establish an emergency response plan using all available resources in the<br />
event of an incident during the course of <strong>seismic</strong> <strong>operations</strong>. Emergency Response<br />
Procedures/Plans should be in line with the AMG Section 12 and <strong>OGP</strong> 317 and<br />
include at a minimal the following:<br />
1. Established quick flow chart <strong>for</strong> downed aircraft, injured or lost personnel and<br />
Medevac callouts.<br />
2. Aircraft overdue.<br />
3. Loss of communications.<br />
4. Established procedures upon receiving a May-Day/distress transmission.<br />
5. Aircraft Accident/Downed Aircraft.<br />
6. Establish procedures <strong>for</strong> precautionary <strong>land</strong>ing, ie chip-light, hydraulic, low<br />
fuel.<br />
7. Medevac and SAR (Search and Rescue) Procedures.<br />
8. Decision/approval matrix <strong>for</strong> Medevac and SAR.<br />
9. Ground Crew Responsibilities.<br />
10. Means to coordinate with local emergency agencies on location response.<br />
11. Establish roles and responsibilities.<br />
12. Dropped load procedures.<br />
13. Emergency Response Procedures practice/drill.<br />
14. Hijack procedures.<br />
15. Jungle/<strong>for</strong>est penetration procedures.<br />
12.2 This includes call-out procedures within the local aviation community and local<br />
emergency responders and must also consider establishing a response team within the<br />
<strong>seismic</strong> crew in the event of a delayed response from local author<br />
