The shackles and swivels used to connect the cable to the aircraft are to con<strong>for</strong>m to<br />

specific aircraft flight manual regarding the diameter of the shackle rings and their use<br />

with respective hook types on the aircraft.<br />

Shackles and swivels will be serviceable with no evidence of corrosion or excessive wear.<br />

B.7 Unserviceable lifting equipment<br />

Worn, damaged and unserviceable lifting equipment should be removed from service<br />

and have a quarantine area separate from serviceable equipment.<br />

Unserviceable equipment should be tagged, and clearly marked as unserviceable.<br />
