electrocardiography (ECG) and vital signs (temperature, pulse,<br />

EKG Interpretation<br />

Students are introduced to waveform identification,<br />
measurements, determination of rhythms, determination of<br />
heart rates, and various EKG rhythms and dysrhythms. This<br />
course will also review cardiac anatomy and physiology in<br />
relation to various rhythms. Students will practice interpreting<br />
EKG rhythms. A brief review of anatomy and physiology is<br />

Acupressure Connection I<br />

This course presents the fundamental concepts of acupressure.<br />
Students give acupressure treatments to self and others to<br />
relieve pain and promote relaxation. Additional holistic health<br />
practices are addressed including therapeutic touch, relaxation<br />
techniques, meditation, exercise, and nutrition. This course is<br />
open to anyone who is interested in living a healthier lifestyle<br />
and assisting others to do the same. Registered Nurses and<br />
Licensed Vocational Nurses will receive sixteen continuing<br />

the Interpreter Preparation Program. Students are expected to<br />
