The aim of this course is to introduce students to the linguistic, cultural and study<br />

ADESL 085 ADVANCED PRONUNCIATION ESL CE<br />

This course focuses on improving pronunciation of American English for academic<br />

and workplace settings.<br />

ADULT EDUCATION/GED PREPARATION CLASSES*<br />

For students who need to build their basic skills in preparation to take<br />

the GED, classes in communication skills (reading and writing), math<br />

and GED Preparation are offered. GED preparation online courses are<br />

available, contact Tina Prentiss (tprentiss@olympic.edu)<br />

Students enrolling in Adult Education/GED Preparation classes MUST<br />

attend an orientation class before enrolling. In this class they will learn<br />

about the program, set learning goals, take placement tests to determine<br />

the classes they will need, and register. A fee of $25 per quarter is<br />

charged. Waivers are available for low-income students. Students under<br />

19 years old must provide a High School Release form.<br />

Bremerton Orientations:<br />

Orientation classes will be held at <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>College</strong> Bremerton in the<br />

Health Occupations Building, Room 142. These classes will meet for<br />

2 sessions and students must attend both sessions in order to register<br />

for classes. Call 360.475.7550 for an appointment or to inquire about<br />

additional orientation dates.<br />
