The aim of this course is to introduce students to the linguistic, cultural and study
skills necessary for matriculating into credit classes at a community college.

ADESL 085 ADVANCED PRONUNCIATION ESL CE
This course focuses on improving pronunciation of American English for academic
and workplace settings.

ADULT EDUCATION/GED PREPARATION CLASSES*
For students who need to build their basic skills in preparation to take
the GED, classes in communication skills (reading and writing), math
and GED Preparation are offered. GED preparation online courses are
available, contact Tina Prentiss (tprentiss@olympic.edu)
Students enrolling in Adult Education/GED Preparation classes MUST
attend an orientation class before enrolling. In this class they will learn
about the program, set learning goals, take placement tests to determine
the classes they will need, and register. A fee of $25 per quarter is
charged. Waivers are available for low-income students. Students under
19 years old must provide a High School Release form.
Bremerton Orientations:
Orientation classes will be held at Olympic College Bremerton in the
Health Occupations Building, Room 142. These classes will meet for
2 sessions and students must attend both sessions in order to register
for classes. Call 360.475.7550 for an appointment or to inquire about
additional orientation dates.

Education classes.
