This course is an introduction to academic research skills and is designed for<br />

students from all programs. Emphasis on proficiency at using various electronic<br />

tools and retrieval techniques. The principles and skills learned can be applied<br />

Origin and evolution of the Earth and its life forms. Emphasis on the geologic<br />

events which have changed the pattern of the continents and ocean basins,<br />

created mountain ranges, altered climates, and influenced life history through 4.5<br />

billion years of geologic time. Optional field trips.<br />

Prerequisite for Nursing Assistant classes: High School diploma or GED,<br />

age 18, placement in ENGL 091 or above and MATH 090 or above per<br />

H-OCC 100 NURSING ASSISTANT LECTURE<br />

This course in combination with H-OCC 101 will prepare the student for<br />

employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant (NAC). The course will provide the<br />

information and the skills to meet the requirements of NAC training mandated by<br />

the State of Washington and to be a successful employee.<br />
