ADMISSIONS & ENROLLMENT ADMISSIONS & ENROLLMENT • Enter registration PIN as your birth date (i.e. 50179 if May 1, 1979), or your global PIN if you changed it, or a special PIN number your advisor gave to you. • Click on “continue” • Enter item numbers or classes you wish to select • Click on “Submit add/drop” • Your new class schedule will appear if your online registration was successful • Click on “Finish” • Click on “Return to main menu” Tip: print your schedule for your records. 5. Phone 360.475.7200 or 1.800.259.6718, x7200 Additional Registration Information Entry code/special permission Entry codes may be obtained from your advisor and expire after one use. The code provides a way for you to register online or in person for: (a) a class that requires instructor permission, or (b) a class that has a prerequisite block. Prerequisite block Some classes require completion of a prerequisite. See class listings for specific prerequisites. Also see “What is an assessment?” for more information on English and mathematics prerequisites. If the prerequisite was completed at another college/university, present the appropriate transcript to the faculty or Student Entry and Advising Center advisor to obtain permission to enroll. Resident Eligibility Requirements To be eligible to pay resident tuition, a student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, who: • Is financially independent AND • Has established a domicile in Washington state for other than educational purposes for a period of at least 12 months prior to the state date of the quarter OR • Is a dependent student whose parents or legal guardians have maintained a domicile in Washington state for at least 12 months prior to the start date of the quarter AND • Who further meets and complies with the applicable requirements of WAC 250-18-030 and 250-18-035 SB1079. Individuals who are not permanent residents or U.S. citizens MAY qualify for resident tuition, if they have or will have graduated from a Washington state high school or, while living in Washington, have received the equivalent of a high school diploma. Additional criteria are required. Contact the Admissions Office for more information. Military personnel stationed in Washington State and their dependents who present military ID at registration will be granted a waiver of nonresident tuition and will be charged at the resident rate. Restrictions If your schedule contains a restriction, the class or wait list may be removed from your schedule. Restrictions are: • Course conflicts. You cannot wait list for a class that has the same discipline and course number. • Time conflict. You cannot wait list a class if the time conflicts with an enrolled class. This restriction includes overlapping start and end times. • Limit of three wait lists for any quarter Time to register Each student is assigned a time to register based on the number of credits completed plus officially transferred credits listed on the OC transcript. You may register on or after your assigned “time to register.” a. Continuing students Look up your “time to register” under “Find my time to register” on OASIS. Go to www.olympic.edu/OASIS and click on “Enter OASIS.” You may also inquire at any college campus Registration Office (picture ID required). For assistance: 360.475.7200. b. Former students Call to receive a “time to register” (360.475.7200) or visit your local campus registration office. c. Running Start students Your Running Start advisor will give you a special quarterly registration PIN at your advising session so you may register online using OASIS. d. New students — Bremerton campus: Register in person following your new student advising session (see page 5) or during new student registration, which begins Dec. 4. — Poulsbo and Shelton campuses: Register in person after seeing your advisor or during new student registration. — NBK-Bangor/Bremerton: Register in person at the local office. Wait list If a class you wish to take is full, please add your name to the wait list. If an opening occurs, your name will be added to the class automatically (overnight). The Cashier’s Office experiences a high volume of calls during peak registration; please be patient. • In person at the Bremerton Cashier’s Office, Shelton main office and Poulsbo Student Services office (Poulsbo does not accept cash). We accept check, money order, cash, personal checks for the exact amount of tuition and fees, credit card or debit card. • STEPP Program tuition prepayment program (www.olympic.edu/Students/ Tuition/STEPP). NOTE: You must contact the Bremerton Cashier’s Office (360.475.7181) after registering for classes to ensure your STEPP payments are properly applied towards your classes. Payment Deadlines • Winter registration payment is due within two business days after registration. NOTE: Olympic College will cancel the registration of students who do not pay tuition and fees by the payment deadline. Students who wish to re-register for classes may do so online or in person, with payment due within two business days. Testing fees • Accuplacer: $15 (non-refundable); Test retakes: $15 • GED test series: $75; Test retakes: $15 • Proctor Test Fee: $25 Other fees • WAOL fee: $8 per credit • Telecourse fee: $30 • Adult Basic Education: $25 Class Fees Some classes require additional fees.
