Annual Report 2002 15 BSc Theses • Three 10-point BSc theses were completed under the supervision of Tom Duckett. • One 10-point BSc thesis was completed under the supervision of Amy Loutfi. • One 10-point BSc thesis was completed under the supervision of Alessandro Saffiotti. • Five 10-point BSc theses were completed under the supervision of Lars Karlsson. • One 10-point BSc thesis was completed under the supervision of Ivan Kalaykov. 1.4.2 MSc in computer engineering The MSc Computer Engineering Program is a 4-year study program leading to a Master of Science with a major in Computer Engineering. The first 2 years of the program are in common with the 3-year Computer Engineering program, and students choose between the two programs at the end of the second year. The program belongs to the technological study sector. The program was started in the autumn of 2001 and the first class is to be graduated in 2002. Currently there are 49 students enrolled in the program. Teacher: Li Jun. Given in autumn for 3 rd -year students. An introductory course in numerical methods. • Pattern Matching, 10 points. Teacher: Gustav Tolt. Given in autumn for 4 rd -year students. Supervisor: Alessandro Saffiotti An additional two theses on 10 points each (one at AASS and one at the electronics group at Örebro university) were started in Spring 2002 but have still not been completed. 1.4.3 Other study programs AASS members and PhD students were also involved in a number of courses for other study programs: -Measurement technology, 5 points. Programs: Distance course for the Automation Engineering program. An introductory course in robot technology. -Computer-integrated manufacturing systems, 5 points. Teacher: Ivan Kalaykov. Assistant: Grzegorz Cielniak. Program: Automation Engineering.
