And speaking of packet radio, Phi l , K6 ROR , i s about add t hat mode to his<br />

stati on. Phil was very active in RTTY . Severa l of us operated on a 450<br />

mHz RTTY repe ater which was located on t he same end of <strong>Palomar</strong> that our<br />

present site is on. We were part o f SANDRATS (San Diego <strong>Radio</strong> Teletype<br />

Society) .<br />

We -re sure glad to hear Jack, W6 BLL, back up on the air again on HF. He<br />

says his XYL made him do it! That ' s OK , we're glad to hear you back on.<br />

Hope you make it to the club meeting. Fifty years is a long time and<br />

you'been the re since t he beginning.<br />

Vina tel l s us t hat t here wil l be a c ake t o be c u t for the 50th. With<br />

that and her good no-caf coffee and good friends it ought to be a fine<br />

night to celebrate t he 50th anniversary of a great old club.<br />
