FCC LICENSE EXAMINATIONS in north county are conducted by PARC examiners,<br />

under the auspices of SANDARC-VEC at Glendale Federal savings and Loan at<br />

East Vista Way and Anza in Vista on the second Saturday of the month<br />

commencing at 10:00 a.m.<br />

Examinations are also given on the 1st Saturday at Normal Heights United<br />

Methodist Church, 4560 Mansfield St., San Diego; on the 3rd Saturday at st.<br />

Timothy's Lutheran Church, 2605 Morningside Dr., San Diego; and on the 4th<br />

Saturday at Bostonia Recreation Center, 1049 Bostonia St., El Cajon, and at<br />

the North County Blind Activity Center, 250 E. Grand Ave., Escondido. No<br />

exams on 5th Saturdays.<br />

Applicants for examination must send a S.A.S.E., a completed, signed NEW<br />

Form 610 and a copy of their license and code certificate, if any, to<br />

SANDARC-VEC, Post Office Box 5023, La Mesa, CA 92014 ten days prior to the<br />

testing date. New 610s may be obtained from the FCC. Applicants MUST<br />

BRING their ORIGINAL LICENSE AND CODE CERTIFICATE (if any) with them to the<br />

examination. NO "walk-in" examinees will be accepted.<br />

ELECTRONICALLY ORIENTED FLEA MARKETS ARE: the ham-computer-electronics<br />

swap meet in the San Diego Stadium parking lot 0700-1100 on the first<br />

Saturday of the month. The TRW ARC flea mart at the corner of Compton and<br />

Aviation Blvd. in Manhattan Beach on the last Saturday of the month from<br />

0800 to 1100. Talk-in on 145.320 mHz simplex.<br />

DONATE IT TO THE CLUB if you can't sell it or aren't up to hauling it to<br />

the flea markets. The <strong>Club</strong> will sell it and put the money in the Equipment<br />

Fund to buy that new repeater, antenna, feedline or generator. Contact any<br />

club officer and he will gladly rid you of your surplus TS-940S or KWM-380.<br />
