VOLUNTEER EXAMINERS PROGRAM
de Pat Crossman, N6INN
The April VE test session was our last at Glendale Fed. Our congratulations
to Mel Beener, N6ARS, who up-graded to Advanced Class. Our VE team
consisted of KG6VX at the front desk; W6DEY and N6IE administering the CW
examination; W6SAX proctor; W6HAW, W6YYV, KS6S examiners; and K6HAV assisting
. Of seven examinees, four had at least partial success.
Thanks to the willi ng assistance of Doc Burton, KA6DWU, a fellow club
member, we now have excellent new quarters for our future VE-conducted FCC
exams. After searching high and low in Vista, Doc was called and responded
quickly with the Joslyn Senior Center behind the City Hall in San Marcos.
San Marcos City Hall is on Richmar at Twin Oaks Valley Rd. Our new space
~ is easier to get to for out of towners. If anyone could find us a place in
San Marcos, Doc Burton could. HE'S THE MAYOR! Thanks, Doc.
