Queensland Tennis Centre Highlights • An official naming ceremony was held on Thursday 23 October 2008 to announce the Queensland Tennis Centre stadium as “Pat Rafter Arena”; • The Centre was officially opened by the Premier of Queensland, the Hon. Anna Bligh MP on Friday 2 January 2009; • The Inaugural Brisbane International attracted 66,024 spectators and a total domestic television audience of 3.45 million viewers; and • Around 16,000 members of the public used the facility for fixtures, coaching, social court hire and functions since the opening in January 2009.
