FOR INFORMATION
The construction of the reuse water pipeline to nominated parks, ovals and reserves is
progressing well with approximately 80-90% of the works complete. A large number of
unknown underground services along the pipe alignment has created many issues and delays
on the pipe laying schedule.
Two separate crews are working at different locations on the project to ensure delivery is
completed as per the program.
Reinstatement of trenches, kerbs and driveways is being programmed with relevant
contractors.
The mega litre tank is currently being constructed and is scheduled to be installed by mid June
2012. 80% of the upstream pipework from the tank to the Nyrstar connection point has been
completed. It is anticipated that the storage and reticulation works will be completed in early
July and the RO plant should be commissioned by that time.
