a moisture-resistant gel or filling compound
The sheath consists of
A PE tube (inner jacket) as part of the core to
act as a protective chamber. The tube has an
outside diameter of 0.310 inch and an inside
diameter of 0.250 inch.
Fourteen steel wires (0.017-inch outside diameter)
applied with a right-hand lay over the
polyester tape. Another laver of 14 steel wires.

LIGHTPACK cable sheath with 004-048 fibers
has a 0 42-inch diameter, and with 50-96
fibers has a 0 49 inch diameter
