A. Construction Code<br />

3.01<br />

Lightguide cables manufactured before May<br />

1983 had a 15-character code. beginning with<br />

XGAl’. The cable code has been revised. A shorter<br />

11-character code, better suited for coding future devel-<br />

opments, has been adopted. All cables, present and<br />

future, are now designated by the new code (Fig. 11).<br />

Cable codes available are listed in Table E.<br />
