The interview questions were translated into <strong>Japan</strong>ese (see Appendices 1 and 2) and<br />

circulated to interviewees in <strong>the</strong> days ahead of our meetings. Note that during interviews <strong>the</strong><br />

ordering of interview topics naturally fell in <strong>the</strong> sequence given above, ra<strong>the</strong>r than <strong>the</strong> written<br />

sequence given in Appendices 1 and 2. Sections 2.0 and 3.0 of this report have been<br />

structured according to that natural ordering.<br />
