Cage-rearing of grasshoppers for research on the normal cell at the
State University of Iowa. Grasshopper eggs are considered ideal material
for this study. They are easily obtained throughout the year, are of convenient
size, and are remarkably uniform. Eggs containing embryonic
cells at any desired stage of development are at all times available.
