George Reith, age 94 passed away Sunday in the home of his niece, Mrs. Elmer Lantz at 1326 Kelsey<br />

avenue, Toledo. Funeral services will be held this afternoon *Wdnesday, at two o'clock in the Union<br />

church, Pettisville. Burial in Pettisville cemetery. Mr. Reith was associated with the<br />

New York Central Railroad for 22 years. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Carrie Reith of Chicago,<br />

Illinois.<br />

SIMON RYCHENER<br />

Simon Rychener, age 72, passed away suddenly, Saturday afternoon, March 4, in his home in<br />

Pettisville. He had been failing in health the past few years suffering <strong>from</strong> heart trouble. Funeral<br />

services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Lauber Hill church conducted by Rev.<br />

Wm. J. Rupp. Interment in Pettisville cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, five grandchildren, two<br />

great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles of Pettisville and Menno of Harlingen, Texas.<br />

Katie (Roth) Burkholder was born in Allen <strong>County</strong>, Ind., Nov. 22, 1859. At the age of five years she<br />

came with her parents to <strong>Fulton</strong> county <strong>Ohio</strong>, where she lived the remainder of her life. And died<br />

at the home of her sister, Mrs. Peter H. Short near Pettisville, <strong>Ohio</strong>, Feb. 3, 1944 at the age of 84<br />

years, 2 months, 12 days. On. November 19, 1903 she was married to Peter F. Burkholder, who<br />

preceded her in death April 7, 1917.<br />

In her youth she accepted Christ as her SAVOUR and LORD, and became a member of the<br />

Mennonite Church, and remained faithful to the end. Her kind and loving disposition was appreciated<br />

by all, and especially by children, She bore her affliction with patience, looking to
