George Reith, age 94 passed away Sunday in the home of his niece, Mrs. Elmer Lantz at 1326 Kelsey
avenue, Toledo. Funeral services will be held this afternoon *Wdnesday, at two o'clock in the Union
church, Pettisville. Burial in Pettisville cemetery. Mr. Reith was associated with the
New York Central Railroad for 22 years. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Carrie Reith of Chicago,
Illinois.
SIMON RYCHENER

Simon Rychener, age 72, passed away suddenly, Saturday afternoon, March 4, in his home in
Pettisville. He had been failing in health the past few years suffering from heart trouble. Funeral
services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Lauber Hill church conducted by Rev.
Wm. J. Rupp. Interment in Pettisville cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, five grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles of Pettisville and Menno of Harlingen, Texas.

Katie (Roth) Burkholder was born in Allen County, Ind., Nov. 22, 1859. At the age of five years she
came with her parents to Fulton county Ohio, where she lived the remainder of her life. And died
at the home of her sister, Mrs. Peter H. Short near Pettisville, Ohio, Feb. 3, 1944 at the age of 84
years, 2 months, 12 days. On. November 19, 1903 she was married to Peter F. Burkholder, who
preceded her in death April 7, 1917.
In her youth she accepted Christ as her SAVOUR and LORD, and became a member of the
Mennonite Church, and remained faithful to the end. Her kind and loving disposition was appreciated
by all, and especially by children, She bore her affliction with patience, looking to
