George Rieth, age 94 last September, passed away Sunday in the home of his niece, Mrs. Elmer<br />

Lantz in Toledo. Mr. Rieth lived in Pettisville for many years up until a year ago when due to his age<br />

he went to live with his niece in Toledo. Funeral service will be held in the local Missionary church on<br />

Wednesday afternoon. Burial in Pettisville cemetery.<br />

David Merillat<br />

David Merillat, aged 74 years, 5 months, and 28 days, died at Toledo, 0., Monday evening at nine<br />

o'clock, following an illness of six weeks. He was born in German township on October 7, 1868,<br />

to David and Mary Merillat. A farmer by occupation, he had lived on his farm near Tedrow many<br />

years. In 1902, he chose as a helpmate, Emma McCullom. To them were born 14 children. One son<br />

and one grand-son *preceeding him in death. He, with his wife, accepted the Lord as their Savior and<br />

united with the Reformed Mennonite Church in 1914. He was a dutiful and loving husband and father.<br />

He is survived by his wife, Emma, five sons, Walter of Toledo, Vernon of Delta, Francis of Wauseon,
