in marriage with Elizabeth Weckesser. They were blest with two sons and one daughter. He was a<br />

kind, home-loving husband and together with his wife and children made a home and tenderly cared<br />

for his Mother in her declining years, who preceded him to her reward in August, 1937. His Father also<br />

preceding him was laid to rest 21 years today. Two brothers and one sister also died in infancy. He<br />

departed this life December 15, at the age of 48 years, 9 months and 19 days.<br />

There remain to mourn his departure, his wife, Elizabeth and their three children, Stanley, Murel and<br />

Lois. Five *brother, Simeon, John and Edward of Archbold, Daniel of Wauseon, and Ezra of West<br />

Unity. Also four sisters: Mrs. Wm. Sigg, Mrs. Emma Kleck, Mrs. Samuel Wiederkehr, and Mrs. Jacob<br />

Rupp, and many other friends and relatives.<br />

"What is Life?" asks the Apostle.<br />

"But a Vapor," He concludes:<br />

"Life is real," quotes a Poet,<br />

"And the grave is not its goal.<br />

Dust thou art to dust returneth,<br />

Was not spoken of the Soul.<br />

'What is Life'! We ask and wonder,<br />

The Wise King says, "It's vain."<br />

'We conclude that Life's a Favor,<br />

In which we're introduced to God.<br />

Thru His Son is Life eternal<br />

Tho we're laid beneath the sod.<br />

HARRY BURKHOLDER<br />

Harry Burkholder, 48, passed away in his home south of Archbold Friday. Death was sudden although<br />

he had suffered <strong>from</strong> diabetes for some time. Funeral service was held at the Reformed Mennonite<br />

church east of Burlington, Monday afternoon. With Rev. Wm. Rupp in charge. Burial in church<br />

cemetery, He leaves widow, two sons, one daughter, five brothers, four sisters.
