The next day, Billy took his magazine to school. At recess he showed it to the
dinosaurs. He was trying to make friends. This was to be his last attempt.
“Meteors are just big rocks,” said the dinosaurs.
“Big rocks in outer space,” Billy pointed out.
“Outer space is stupid,” said the dinosaurs. They stomped on his magazine and tore
it up.
Billy started to cry.

“Now you have to stay after school,” said the teacher.
“For what?” Billy asked.
“For being a cry-baby,” she said. “Dinosaurs don’t cry at recess.”
“I’m not a dinosaur,” Billy said. “I’m just a little boy.”
“That does it,” she said. “Now you are expelled.”
“For what?” Billy asked.
“For talking back,” she said.
“What is expelled?” Billy asked.
“It means you have to go home.”
“Oh boy,” said Billy.

Billy walked home alone. He hated Dinosaur School. He hated Dinosaur City.
He heard stomping and looked around.
A dinosaur was chasing him! “Wait!” it said. It was waving a piece of paper.
