4.3 Physical activities to be undertaken under IWMP 7
4.3.1 Entry point activities (EPA)
EPA activities are taken up under watershed projects to build a rapport with the village community at the beginning of the project; generally, certain important
works which are in urgent demand of the local community are taken up. A group Discussion was conducted with watershed Development Committee regarding the
EPA activity, it was conveyed to the WC that an amount of Rs. 29.91 Lacks was allotted for EPA activity; which was 4 per cent of total allocated budget. The villagers
discussed various activities which they felt is important but after a brief discussion it was conveyed to them that only those activities can be taken, which revive the
common natural resources. It was also taken into priority that there should be an instrument of convergence which will result in sustainability of activities.
