Student ID Card
How do I get my Sandburg ID card?
Bring your student schedule with your ID number printed on the page to the Library. Your
ID number will be entered to verify that you are enrolled in classes. Your picture will be
taken and your card printed within five minutes, except for the Bushnell location. For
Bushnell, please return a week later to pick up your ID card.
Where do I get my Sandburg ID card?
Students can pick up their student ID in the library of any campus.
Why do I need a Sandburg ID card?
Your ID card provides proof of your status as a student or employee at the College.
What do I use my Sandburg ID card for?
• Library card
• Free admittance to athletic and theater events
• Any transactions in Student Services (Financial Aid, Business Office)
• Admittance to the Fitness Center
• Campus Cafés – add money to your card to use in the cafeterias
• Discount on city bus – $0.40 one way
• Bookstore – present ID to purchase books
• Admittance to the Tutoring Center
How do I put money on my Sandburg ID card
to use in the cafeterias?
Bring your Sandburg ID and your money to either the Loft Café or the Cyber Café. The
money will be added to your Sandburg ID at the cash register. You may also add money
for cafeteria use to your Sandburg ID in the Business Office. How much does my Sandburg
ID card cost? Your first ID is FREE. If you need a replacement it will cost $10.
Parking on Campus
The Main Campus in Galesburg has five large parking lots. Parking is provided free. No
parking is allowed on the sides of the entry roads, in fire lanes or on lawn areas. Tickets
will also be issued for taking up two parking spaces and for parking over the lines. In
addition, each parking lot has parking spaces designated for handicapped parking.
Unauthorized use of these parking places will result in a $50 fine in accordance with
paragraph 11-1301.3 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
The Risk Management Committee of the College has been charged with the
responsibility of serving as the appeals board for persons issued a parking violation. This
committee meets each month, and its membership is comprised of students, faculty
and staff. Parking violation fines must be paid within 10 days. Appeals may be made only
AFTER the fine has been paid. Appeal forms may be picked up in the Business Office.
Bus Schedules
Galesburg City Bus Information The City Bus Inc. provides bus
transportation to and from the Main Campus in Galesburg. The bus stops at two places
on the campus: the bus shelter in front of Building A and the circle drive in front of
Building D. The bus stops at the Main Campus 30 minutes after the hour.
Student bus passes can be purchased from the bus driver. All
routes start and stop in downtown Galesburg at the corner of Main and Kellogg and
departs on the hour. The buses run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
