Student ID Card<br />
How do I get my <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID card?<br />
Bring your student schedule with your ID number printed on the page to the Library. Your<br />
ID number will be entered to verify that you are enrolled in classes. Your picture will be<br />
taken and your card printed within five minutes, except for the Bushnell location. For<br />
Bushnell, please return a week later to pick up your ID card.<br />
Where do I get my <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID card?<br />
Students can pick up their student ID in the library of any campus.<br />
Why do I need a <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID card?<br />
Your ID card provides proof of your status as a student or employee at the <strong>College</strong>.<br />
What do I use my <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID card for?<br />
• Library card<br />
• Free admittance to athletic and theater events<br />
• Any transactions in Student Services (Financial Aid, Business Office)<br />
• Admittance to the Fitness Center<br />
• Campus Cafés – add money to your card to use in the cafeterias<br />
• Discount on city bus – $0.40 one way<br />
• Bookstore – present ID to purchase books<br />
• Admittance to the Tutoring Center<br />
How do I put money on my <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID card<br />
to use in the cafeterias?<br />
Bring your <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID and your money to either the Loft Café or the Cyber Café. The<br />
money will be added to your <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID at the cash register. You may also add money<br />
for cafeteria use to your <strong>Sandburg</strong> ID in the Business Office. How much does my <strong>Sandburg</strong><br />
ID card cost? Your first ID is FREE. If you need a replacement it will cost $10.<br />
Parking on Campus<br />
The Main Campus in Galesburg has five large parking lots. Parking is provided free. No<br />
parking is allowed on the sides of the entry roads, in fire lanes or on lawn areas. Tickets<br />
will also be issued for taking up two parking spaces and for parking over the lines. In<br />
addition, each parking lot has parking spaces designated for handicapped parking.<br />
Unauthorized use of these parking places will result in a $50 fine in accordance with<br />
paragraph 11-1301.3 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.<br />
The Risk Management Committee of the <strong>College</strong> has been charged with the<br />
responsibility of serving as the appeals board for persons issued a parking violation. This<br />
committee meets each month, and its membership is comprised of students, faculty<br />
and staff. Parking violation fines must be paid within 10 days. Appeals may be made only<br />
AFTER the fine has been paid. Appeal forms may be picked up in the Business Office.<br />
Bus Schedules<br />
Galesburg City Bus Information The City Bus Inc. provides bus<br />
transportation to and from the Main Campus in Galesburg. The bus stops at two places<br />
on the campus: the bus shelter in front of Building A and the circle drive in front of<br />
Building D. The bus stops at the Main Campus 30 minutes after the hour.<br />
Student bus passes can be purchased from the bus driver. All<br />
routes start and stop in downtown Galesburg at the corner of Main and Kellogg and<br />
departs on the hour. The buses run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.<br />
The last bus of the day arrives at approximately 5:30 p.m. For more information visit<br />
