Transfer Services<br />
The Transfer Services Coordinator provides students with information about transferring<br />
to four-year colleges and universities and insight on courses that will transfer. Transfer<br />
Services also sets up college visits and assists students with the university application<br />
process. Office is located in B24 at the Main Campus.<br />

Veterans Assistance<br />
State and federal assistance is available at <strong>Carl</strong> <strong>Sandburg</strong> <strong>College</strong> for qualified veterans<br />
and the children and spouses of veterans who died or are permanently and totally<br />
disabled as the result of a service-connected disability. For information on eligibility<br />
and the application process for the benefits available under these and other programs,<br />
contact the Coordinator of Veterans and Military Personnel Student Services in the<br />
Financial Aid Office. Academic programs listed in the <strong>College</strong> Catalog as “Pending ICCB<br />
Approval” are not eligible for VA certification until the approval is received from ICCB<br />
and approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs.<br />

TRIO Student Support Services<br />
The TRIO SSS program offers academic support services to students who are planning on<br />
transferring to a four-year university and who are either first-generation college students<br />
or who are eligible according to the federal income guidelines. The goal of the program<br />
is to assist participants to stay in school, graduate from <strong>Sandburg</strong> and transfer to a fouryear<br />
college or university. Participating students are offered academic advising, transfer<br />
advising, orientation to college, intensive support during their first year of college, financial<br />
aid assistance, planning for four-year college expenses, assistance with study skills, career<br />
research and planning and support with other college-related or personal issues.<br />
