SUMMARY
You have now completed Segment Four and have worked well.
Before taking a break I will remind you of the aims for this
Segment. These were that you should now be able to:
• Explain the symbols used to represent the components of a
hydraulic system on a circuit diagram.
• Trace the oil flow through each component and through
each part of a circuit diagram.
You have also achieved Objective No. 4 on page xiii.
In Segment Five we will consider the various properties which a
hydraulic oil should have, the contamination which can occur
and the ways in which the contamination is dealt with.
But before that take a good break!
