from the “cloud”. Instead of buying programs, the customer
obtains a service by paying a service charge. The slogan is “Pay
per use”. Instead investing into long-term licensing and maintenance
agreements, customers in the future will orient according
to their actual needs and use. S&T offers already complete
cloud services on a group level.
All products integrated by S&T are derived from renowned
technological suppliers. Nevertheless, the S&T Group strictly
adheres to the principle of neutrality in its product policy when
consulting customers. Customers can choose from the latest
state-of-the-art products available on the IT market. Our biggest
partners include HP, Cisco, EMC, SAP, IBM, Microsoft and
Oracle.
The geographical presence of the Group in the CEE markets is
a business location advantage, and is being exploited to offer
high quality services at competitive prices.
Customer references
Knorr-Bremse:
S&T Austria as IT service desk partner
Knorr-Bremse, the global market leader for braking systems
employing a work force of close to 14,400 employees, selected
S&T Austria as its IT help desk partner in Europe. All IT
service desk inquiries of the Knorr Bremse facilities in Munich,
Kematen and Mödling are routed to the Vienna subsidiary of
the S&T Group. The world market leader for braking systems
for rail and commercial vehicles operates 60 locations in 25
countries. The help desk concept developed by S&T Austria will
be successively expanded to other selected countries.
The outsourcing concept is based on a centrally coordinated
ticketing system offering complete cost transparency per workplace
and can be flexibly expanded. In the European roll-out
Knorr-Bremse will be assisted by “native teams” of the local
S&T subsidiaries and their partners. This approach also applies
to personnel support. S&T will directly deploy the required
number of employees at the Knorr Bremse facilities
The S&T solution stood out due to the transparency of the
service level agreements and the scalability of the solution
with respect to other countries. The solution featuring local
support combined with centralized management (one face to
the customer) convinced the customer.
GAZ-SYSTEM:
S&T Poland implements SAP
It was the biggest ERP project in Poland in the year 2010. S&T
for the Polish gas transmission operator. The integrated IT
environment will replace several existing applications, helping
to optimize and streamline GAZ-SYSTEM processes. As a result,
the access to crucial management data and an improved flow
of information.
“The implementation of the comprehensive system for
managing resources in GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is a part of a
strategy implemented to improve the effectiveness and
efficiency of company operations. The system will enable
important in the context of our strategic investment
projects that are realized on an unprecedented scale so
far”, says Jan Chadam, CEO of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.
