The upgrades were installed and tested at Langley Air Force Base, Va. Boeing is Guard F-15C/D aircraft with the APG-63(V)3 AESA over the next 10 months. A total of 54 AESA-equipped F-15C/Ds are scheduled to be on station at Kadena by September 2013. This is Yurchikhin's fifth spacewalk, and Skripochka's first. During the six-hour spacewalk, the cosmonauts will remove the Kontur scientific experiment, which studied remote object control capability for robotic arms, from at verifying the existence of micro organisms or contamination underneath insulation on the Russian segment of the ISS. Yurchikhin and Skripochka will also install a portable multipurpose workstation on the Zvezda module and carry out a number of other operations at the ISS.
