The Tasmanian State League Website is now up and
running. The site will contain all the latest competition
news, features, fixtures and results. A focal point of
the website will be up to date breaking news stories,
competition ladder and events information and booking
details. From the website you can also download a copy
of the weeks Footy Record (post round) join mailing lists
to receive the TSL Newsletter which is currently being
developed and event information. Links to all State League
Club websites are available.

It is Super Saturday again in the 2010
Wrest Point State League. It should be
an exciting and crucial round with every
game expected to be hotly contested.
After a week off for the State game
against Queensland, the RECORD is full
of reading highlight’s this week. The
‘View From Here’ and the ‘Our Great
Game’ articles are poignant in their
analysis of the great playing career of
Clarence and Tasmania’s Brett ‘Budgie’
Geappen, which has been cut short by a
serious injury.
The Record had the chance to speak
with Brett and he is looking forward
to putting all his energy into the new
phase of his career as a non-playing
coach. Brett also reflected on his
15 years playing at the top levels of
Tasmanian football through youth
and senior state teams, the Tassie
Mariners and Tasmanian Devils and the
Clarence FC. Brett was thankful for the
team behind him including his on field
colleagues, coach Matthew Armstrong,
and especially his parents, brothers,
wife and children for their unswerving
support.
