Visit a working honey farm in the Riding Mountain<br />

Biosphere Reserve and experience the life <strong>of</strong> a bee<br />

keeper and craftsman. Delve into the workings <strong>of</strong><br />

Mountain View Farms to learn the story <strong>of</strong> bees and<br />

hives and make your own beeswax <strong>ca</strong>ndles.<br />

This experience will take you on a tour through<br />

the process and workings <strong>of</strong> an active honey farm.<br />

You will learn the story <strong>of</strong> hives, bees, wax and<br />

extraction from lo<strong>ca</strong>l experts. Take a walk on the<br />

farm and if you like, have a picture taken in a bee<br />

keeper outfit! Then learn how to make beeswax<br />

<strong>ca</strong>ndles to take home with you and finish your tour<br />

wood-fired clay ovens and with home-made jams,<br />

Learn how to grind wheat into flour using the grist<br />
