Specifications: Common Royalty Distribution: EDI format specifications Version 2.0, Revision 4 support the calculation of earnings per sharer per exploitation in works having a noncopyright element (TR). Record type. Use “MIP”. 2. Interested party number. Must have been reported as IPI-4 interested party number in a preceding IPI Interested Party Information record in this file. 3. IP Society. This relationship is represented in the records by all parties having the same value in this column. The value itself has no meaning (i.e. any number or letter may be used) but it is the use of the same value that ties the parties together. This information can be very useful to a receiving society and should be provided is possible; otherwise, leave blank. Specifications: Common Royalty Distribution: EDI format specifications Version 2.0, Revision 4 5.7 - ICC: Interested Party Categorized Contingency Payments Detail Record This record is used to report payments to an interested party per distribution category (type) per exploitation source where those payments do not result from royalty calculations. For example, payment may occur from the settlement of a court action that resulted in funds for distribution, or from the allocation of other lump sums to a particular exploitation type for which no exploitation data is available or applicable. Interested parties with zero percentage shares may be included or omitted at the submitter’s discretion. Details are omitted for non-represented interested parties if the recipient is a publisher, or a member of a society other than that receiving this distribution. For example, a distribution to a member will contain details of shares pertaining only to that member, and optionally to the work’s creators that the member represents.
