Group 4: all other committees and other bodies
100 This category covers a vast array of bodies from advisory committees, to technical review
committees to professional regulatory bodies. These bodies may have their functions
described in statute, or alternatively have been established by a Minister under a general
statutory power to establish advisory committees or by the Cabinet. In other cases, the
bodies will have been established by chief executives of departments to provide advice on
the department's functions and responsibilities on a general basis or on specific areas or
issues.
