ITME 2012<br />
The India International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITME) 2012 was<br />
held from 02-07 December, 2012 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition<br />
Centre, Mumbai. The 9th edition & the most anticipated Textile Machinery<br />
Exhibition showcased textile technology, machinery, accessories and services.<br />

Many delegations from new textile markets, eminent technocrats<br />
and textile experts spoke at the seminar, and the event was the<br />
largest so far India has ever hosted. The event hosted a seminar<br />
on how Gujarat as a state is poised to grow and contribute to the<br />
economic growth of the country. The seminar included a presentation<br />
by GIFTCL on how the government of Gujarat plans to accelerate<br />
industrial growth through its various initiatives and textile policy.<br />
GIFTCL, on behalf of the Government of Gujarat, plans to<br />
build a financial city that will help aspiring entrepreneurs to set<br />
up new businesses and have a strong infrastructure background<br />
within the state. “Gujarat significantly contributes to the growing<br />
textile industry in the country; 30% of the total contribution to<br />
the textile industry comes from Gujarat alone. The state is also an<br />
