The minimum lengths may be found in the table.
It is generally recommended to use the next longest
ladder length of the Hymer range.
Angle of inclination = 70°
(our recommendation for rung ladders)
= vertical height × factor 1.064
Angle of inclination = 75°
(still permissible for rung ladders)
= vertical height × factor 1.035
Angle of inclination = 68°
(stepladders)
= vertical height × factor 1.080
Angle of inclination = 60°
(stairs)
= vertical height × factor 1.155
Angle of inclination = 45°
(stairs)
= vertical height × factor 1.414
Example:
vertical height (upper contact point) = 7.00 m
when using a rung ladder: 7.00 m × 1.064
(70° angle of inclination) = 7.45 m (minimum size)
Example:
Aluminium stepladder
Vertical height
= 2.50 m
Angle of inclination = 68°
Overhang
= approx. 103 cm
Ladder length = 2.50 × 1.08 = 2.70 m
An additional 5 cm may have to be added
to the overhang for the suspension device.
