Science Competition
Also of interest in the wider community - 7 students in Year 12 have been short listed for the
‘The best solution to a local environmental problem’ competition being run by Magdalene
College.
The students wrote a very interesting report on possible solutions to the weathering of
Salisbury cathedral. (The Eco Team)
German Exchange
In the first week of term, around 50 German students from the Maria Ward Schule, came to
England on an exchange involving Year 10 and Year 12 students.
During the week they went on many trips. They spent a day in London where they loved the
shops. They also visited
Stonehenge which they didn’t
enjoy as much because it
rained! They also visited Oxford
and Bath.
They learnt how to play
rounders and make scones.
The students spent an
enjoyable weekend with their
families and then on the last
night there was a barn dance
which was enjoyed by everyone
who went.
