suburban Lakewood on Wednesday
nights. In addition to the donated prizes,
there wiU be a jackpot question asked each
week . . . "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"
opened Friday (13) at the Palace. The theatre
advertised for seven brothers to be honored
by dates with seven models, guests of
the Palace for dinner and at the opening
show.
Frank Weatherford, Interstate city manager
at Fort Worth who underwent an operation
is home recuperating . Garden,
manager of the Fort Worth Palace, reports
the extreme heat has helped improve
attendance, along with the good product .
Bill Farnsworth, manager of the Hollywood
Theatre, reports Eddie McConnell is the new
assistant manager. He comes from Dallas
where he had been with the Interstate Forest
and the Wilshire theatres.
Jack Ettinger, Booker at Paramount, has
resigned to join the Arch Boardman Booking
Service . Hardy set up an African
jungle display in the lobby to supplement an
intensive promotion for "Tanganyika" at
the Texan Theatre in Nacodoches.
Two Arrested for Robbery
DALLAS—Police arrested two men following
a robbery of the Buckner Boulevard
Drive-In in which the robbers made off with
S103.40. Police believe the two might also
be connected with the similar recent robberies
of the Big D and Lone Star drive-ins.
