<strong>The</strong> Cali<strong>for</strong>nia <strong>Surveyor</strong><br />
is the quarterly publication of the Cali<strong>for</strong>nia Land <strong>Surveyor</strong>s Association,<br />
Inc. and is published as a service to the land surveying<br />
profession of Cali<strong>for</strong>nia. It is mailed to all Licensed Land Survey-<br />
I ors in the state of Cali<strong>for</strong>nia as well as to all members of Cali<strong>for</strong>nia<br />
Land <strong>Surveyor</strong>s Association, Inc. <strong>The</strong> Cali<strong>for</strong>nia <strong>Surveyor</strong> is an open<br />
<strong>for</strong>um <strong>for</strong> all surveyors, with an editorial policy predicated on the<br />
preamble to the articles of Incorporation of the Cali<strong>for</strong>nia Land<br />
<strong>Surveyor</strong>s Association, Inc. and its stated aims and objectives,<br />
which read:<br />
"Recognizing that the true merit of a profession is determined by<br />
the value of its services to society, the 'Cali<strong>for</strong>nia Land <strong>Surveyor</strong>s<br />
Association' does hereby dedicate itself to the promotion and pro<br />
tection of the profession of land surveying as a social and economic<br />
influence vital to the welfare of society, community and state."<br />
"<strong>The</strong> purpose of this organization is to promote the common good<br />
and welfare of its members in their activities in the profession of<br />
land surveying, to promote and maintain the highest possible<br />
standards of professional ethics and practices, to promote professional<br />
uni<strong>for</strong>mity, to promote public faith and dependence in the<br />
Land <strong>Surveyor</strong>s and their work."<br />
