Canoe Trips on the River Fulda
Taking a canoe trip down the Fulda is a great way of seeing
the local countryside. Kayaks and Canadian canoes can be hired
or you can book a trip with an experienced guide.
The Milseburg Cycle Way
Fulda is at the intersection of the three long-distance cycle
ways. Of these three bike paths, the “Fulda Bike Path” R1 and the
“Railway Bike Path” (“Bahnradweg”) have been awarded 4 stars
by the German Cycling Club (ADFC).
Fulda is the ideal starting place for discovering the low-lying
Rhön and Vogelsberg mountains by bike. Both the new ”Milseburg
Radweg“ R3 (an asphalted former railway track) and the R1 cycle
route take you to the source of the River Fulda and the Wasserkuppe
mountain. The ”Vulkan Cycle Way“ provides excellent
cycling through the Vogelsberg area.
Canoeing on the Fulda
Depending on the weather and the river level, trips can be
arranged from April to October. Special trips can be arranged
for different age groups.
We would be pleased to inform you about tried and tested
cycle routes. We also offer a special cyclists’ package which
includes accommodation, maps and much more.
The tourist information office also has details of several bike
hire/service centres.
