The Team Mopar open-wheel blitz in 2003 included some
impressive midget racing accolades. Mopar powered more
than a dozen midget victories under USAC, BADGER, and
other sanctions.
Mopar also took the reins as title sponsor of two thrilling
Mopar Twin 25’s events held at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway
and Indianapolis Raceway Park. Tracy Hines scored a dominating
victory for Team Mopar in one of the Irwindale Twins, while
Dave Steele notched a Mopar victory for the title sponsor at
the Indianapolis Twins. Steele was the victor of a
record midget purse of over $60,000 when
