Two Decoders, TV (using AUX SCART and RF Interfaces)<br />

The AUX SCART connector has audio, video (RGB) and composite<br />

video input connections that can be used to connect a second analogue<br />

or digital receiver. If a second receiver is connected, signals from<br />

selected sources are automatically routed internally in <strong>the</strong> <strong>decode</strong>r to <strong>the</strong><br />

TV SCART connector.<br />

1 Switch off <strong>the</strong> mains supply to <strong>the</strong> <strong>decode</strong>r be<strong>for</strong>e connecting or<br />

disconnecting <strong>the</strong> LNB. Connect <strong>the</strong> terrestrial antenna connector<br />

to <strong>the</strong> RF IN socket on <strong>the</strong> <strong>decode</strong>r.<br />

2 Using a SCART-to-SCART cable (not supplied), connect <strong>the</strong><br />

TV SCART socket on <strong>the</strong> <strong>decode</strong>r to <strong>the</strong> SCART socket on <strong>the</strong><br />

TV.<br />

3 If <strong>the</strong> TV does not have a SCART connector, use <strong>the</strong> supplied<br />

flylead to connect <strong>the</strong> RF OUT socket of <strong>the</strong> <strong>decode</strong>r to <strong>the</strong> RF IN<br />

socket on <strong>the</strong> TV.<br />

4 Connect <strong>the</strong> coaxial cable connector from <strong>the</strong> LNB on <strong>the</strong> satellite<br />

dish into <strong>the</strong> socket marked LNB IN on <strong>the</strong> <strong>decode</strong>r. The<br />

connector on <strong>the</strong> coaxial cable should be turned until it is finger<br />

tight.<br />

5 On <strong>the</strong> first <strong>decode</strong>r, connect a second RF cable with F-type<br />

connectors (not supplied), from <strong>the</strong> LNB OUT connector to LNB IN<br />

connector on <strong>the</strong> second <strong>decode</strong>r.<br />

6 Connect a second SCART to SCART connector between <strong>the</strong> AUX<br />

SCART connector on <strong>the</strong> <strong>decode</strong>r and <strong>the</strong> TV SCART on <strong>the</strong> second<br />

<strong>decode</strong>r.<br />

RCU UHF Button Selection Functions<br />

Pressing UHF on <strong>the</strong> RCU with <strong>the</strong> second <strong>decode</strong>r connected and<br />

operating, selects <strong>the</strong> TV viewing source in <strong>the</strong> sequence VCR, AU1, TV<br />

and IRD. If AU1 is selected, <strong>the</strong> satellite picture is routed to <strong>the</strong> TV and VCR<br />

from <strong>the</strong> second <strong>decode</strong>r.<br />

If a second <strong>decode</strong>r is being used, <strong>the</strong> polarity of <strong>the</strong> LNB is controlled by <strong>the</strong><br />

first <strong>decode</strong>r.<br />

NOTE:<br />

The current software does not support control of <strong>the</strong><br />

LNB polarisation <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> second receiver. There<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong><br />

signal from <strong>the</strong> second receiver could be lost if <strong>the</strong><br />

DSD <strong>645</strong>'s LNB polarisation is changed.<br />
