"I have been looking f<strong>or</strong> some time f<strong>or</strong> a letter from you.<br />

"APRIL 15th, '60.<br />

"I wrote to you on <strong>the</strong> business you wrote to me a bout; I have never herd if you<br />

received <strong>the</strong> letter <strong>or</strong> not.<br />

"I received a letter from you that was written to Mrs H<strong>or</strong>ton a few days since.<br />

She red it and <strong>the</strong>n sent it to me. I ask her what she would do f<strong>or</strong> us. She said<br />

that she was willing f<strong>or</strong> him to take less<br />

"I had a talk with Col H<strong>or</strong>ton yesterday he told me that he would not take less<br />

than nine hundred dollars no less this is hard but we can not help it so you must<br />
