Description. — Limbs strong and well-developed, meeting when<br />
adpressed. No parotoid gland. Tail conical, flattened distally.<br />
Head depressed; snout oval, slightly overhanging in pr<strong>of</strong>ile. Eyes<br />
small, separated anteriorly by one and one-half times the length<br />
<strong>of</strong> the orbital slit. Nostrils small, opening laterally near corners<br />
<strong>of</strong> snout, separated by their distance from pupil. Line <strong>of</strong> lip<br />
straight. Vomerine teeth in an open v-shaped series starting at<br />
a point just posterior to the inner nares and meeting on the median<br />
line at a point opposite or just beyond the anterior point <strong>of</strong> the
