4.2 Natural environment
Meat chicken farms must be developed and managed so that the potential for significant impacts
on the natural environment are minimised. This is achieved by avoiding removal of significant
vegetation and by ensuring appropriate separation distances to surface water.
Performance criteria
disposal areas must be sited, constructed
and managed so that operation of the meat
chicken farm does not cause unlawful
environmental harm.
P2
The development of the meat chicken farm
does not cause the loss of biodiversity at
state, regional or levels or interfere with
ecological processes.
P3
Meat chicken farms do not cause the loss or
degradation of surface waters, marine parks
or declared fish habitats.
Acceptable outcomes
Buildings (excluding residential or
administrative buildings), sheds, other
