INSTALL ATION
n Important notes for connecting the stove:
n The measurement of the chimney must comply with EN 13384, parts 1 and 2.
n Comply with the standard DIN 18160.
n For the minimum suction pressure, see data sheet "Technical Information". The maximum
suction pressure is 20 Pa. For pressures higher than 20 Pa, pressure restriction is required.
n All smoke pipe connections must be absolutely free of leaks.
n The smoke pipe must not project into the chimney.
n Connections for other smoke outlets (fireplaces etc.) must not be at the same level or lie
opposite one another in the chimney. The minimum distance is 40 cm.
n When the smoke pipe is connected to the top of the stove its height must not exceed
150 cm. Always observe the correct safe distance from ceilings, ceiling panelling etc.
For the correct dimensions and data for connecting the stove to the chimney, refer to the
data sheet "Technical Information".
Please read the following before lighting the fire!
SAFETY
n Read these instructions through carefully to find out how to operate the stove safely.
n For the set up, connection and operation of the stove, always observe all applicable national
and European standards as well as all applicable local regulations. If in doubt, consult
your dealer or a qualified heating engineer.
n Check again to ensure that the stove has been correctly connected to the chimney.
n When the fire is burning, the outer surface of the stove becomes very hot. Keep children
and animals under supervision.
n When the fire is burning, make sure that there are no combustible materials or substances
near the stove or on the stove.
n Keep the door to the fire chamber closed at all times, even when the fire is not burning.
(Exception: when heating the stove for the first time).
n Do not overheat the stove by using too much fuel as this may damage the stove or the
chimney and entail loss of guarantee rights.
n Never use petrol, paraffin, methylated spirit or other dangerous substances to light the fire.
n Do not place objects made of combustible material in area affected by radiant heat from
the stove, i.e. within a radius of about 85 cm of the glass door.
n Make sure that the ash box is never completely full as this prevents sufficient air from
reaching the fire and may cause the bottom grate to overheat and warp.
