3.13 Sending and Receiving Files<br />
Sending Files<br />
If you have an XMPP account, you can send files to any contact who also has an XMPP account.<br />
1. From the Contacts tab, right-click a contact and choose Send Files. (If the contact does not have an XMPP<br />
address, then this menu does not appear).<br />
Or from an existing IM window, choose Send a File. (If the contact does not have an XMPP address or if<br />
you are not using the contact’s XMPP address <strong>for</strong> this IM session, then this menu does not appear).<br />
2. A standard Select Files to Send dialog box opens. Select the files to send and press Open. The Send Files<br />
dialog appears, with a “waiting” message. If you want, you can cancel the send be<strong>for</strong>e the other person<br />
retrieves them.<br />
